I began photographing windows because I was unsure how to photograph people candidly. Once I figured that out I continued photographing windows and was influenced by Lee Friedlander's 1970 book "Self Portrait”. This led me to the discovery of Robert Frank’s and Eugene Atget’s photographs of windows. I no longer work with film and rarely work in black and white, but continue to be fascinated by this alternative world of make believe people and values.
